Flint Bishop has appointed corporate partner Russell Bainbridge from Knights, marking the latest investment in the firm's corporate practice in Sheffield as it continues its aggressive expansion strategy across the North of England.
Bainbridge joins the national firm with more than a decade of experience advising businesses, shareholders and lenders on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employee ownership trusts, corporate restructurings and governance matters.
He has acted for clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to listed companies, with particular expertise in the healthcare, manufacturing and waste management sectors.
His recent deal credentials include advising on the sale of medical device manufacturer The SpineCorporation to Nasdaq-listed OrthoPediatrics Corp, supporting multiple care home acquisitions for a UK leading care home provider, and advising on a number of employee ownership trust transactions.
The appointment comes shortly after Flint Bishop opened its new state-of-the-art Grade A offices in Sheffield; part of a wider growth programme that has seen the firm expand its presence across key regional markets.
Qamer Ghafoor, CEO at Flint Bishop, said:
“Russell is an excellent addition to our Corporate team and brings significant experience of advising on complex transactions across a number of important sectors. His combination of technical expertise and commercial understanding will be a real asset to our clients as we continue to grow our corporate offering.
“His appointment also reinforces our commitment to building our presence across the regions. With our established Sheffield office and growing team in the North, we are continuing to invest in exceptional talent to support clients locally while strengthening our national platform.”
Bainbridge, added:
“I’m delighted to be joining Flint Bishop at such an exciting phase of its growth. The firm has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially minded advice, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the business to build on that success.
“There is a real opportunity to develop the corporate offering across Sheffield, Yorkshire and the wider region, supporting businesses with their strategic ambitions and helping clients navigate increasingly complex transactions.”
Flint Bishop now operates from seven offices across the UK and has continued to invest in its regional footprint, people and service offering as part of its national growth strategy.
