Glenn Chidgey & Adam Grant—Wedlake Bell

Two partner promotions

Wedlake Bell has announced two key promotions in the firm’s business recoveries and employment teams. Glenn Chidgey and Adam Grant have both been promoted to partner in their respective departments, effective immediately.   

Glenn has been at Wedlake Bell since 1994 where he began his career in the firm’s post room at 18. His aptitude and talent became clear and he progressed, choosing to train at the firm. His practice is focused on contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring. Glenn has a wealth of experience advising banks, companies and company directors on insolvency and restructuring related issues. He undertook a secondment to the restructuring division of a major high street and commercial bank, which has provided him with an in depth understanding and particular expertise in the commercial and practical issues facing lenders.

Adam, is also promoted to partner, in the employment team. Adam also trained at Wedlake Bell—a further example of the firm identifying and developing talent internally. Adam acts for a number of UK and international businesses advising on their core day to day HR needs as well as longer term strategic planning. He is regularly instructed by senior employees on matters such as restrictive covenants, remuneration structures and litigation. He has extensive experience in managing the employment aspects of business acquisitions and disposals and commercial outsourcing including recently advising on a successful large scale tender to provide services on behalf of the government. Adam also works for a number well-known brands within the hospitality sector.
