Graham Lovett—Gibson Dunn

Disputes partner joins firm's Dubai office

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP has announced that Graham Lovett will join the Dubai office as a partner. Previously head of Clifford Chance’s litigation and dispute resolution practice for the Middle East region, Lovett will continue handling litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigation matters.

“We are excited to have Graham join the firm,” says Ken Doran, chairman and managing partner of Gibson Dunn. “He has a broad-based practice that includes commercial litigation, international arbitration, investigations, as well as regulatory enforcement and compliance in the financial sector. He is well known as a leader in the Middle East legal market. He will play an important role in expanding the reach of our global disputes and compliance practices, and will reinforce our strong commitment to the region.”

“Graham is a first-class lawyer who has built an impressive reputation for disputes resolution in the Gulf region and beyond,” says Paul Harter, partner in charge of the firm’s Dubai office. “His reputation and relationships will also serve us well as we grow our transactional practice in the Middle East and Asia.”

“Graham is a highly experienced practitioner,” says Philip Rocher, senior partner of the firm’s London disputes practice. “He and our excellent Dubai disputes team will work closely with our London group and will be an integral part of our global transnational litigation practice.”

“I plan to leverage my years of experience in the Middle East and the leadership positions I’ve held to further advance Gibson Dunn’s global platform,” Graham says. “I look forward to being a part of an integrated team and contributing to the firm’s growth and positioning as a leading player among the global elite.”
