Leading European public pension & corporate governance official joins firm
Grant & Eisenhofer (G&E) have announced that Guus Warringa, former general counsel of Netherlands-based APG, one of the world’s biggest public pension funds, has joined the firm to work with G&E’s large roster of institutional investors.
During his seven-year tenure at APG (which manages more than 417 billion euros in assets), Guus was a leading voice for institutional investors and helped lead efforts challenging regulatory financial tax changes seen as having adverse effects for European pension funds.
Prior to APG, Guus was general counsel of the Dutch Exchange (Euronext Amsterdam) and held senior international positions within the global NYSE Euronext group.
G&E co-founders and managing directors Jay Eisenhofer and Stuart Grant say of Guus's arrival: “Guus is a tremendous addition to G&E. His extensive experience and vigorous activism on behalf of institutional investors will be an incredible asset to our client base, and we’re pleased to have an advocate of Guus’s caliber join the firm.”
