Senior associate joins commercial costs consultancy

Commercial costs consultancy Practico is delighted to announce that costs lawyer Harsheda Mistry has joined as a senior associate from Clyde & Co.

Harsheda has over 10 years’ experience working as a costs lawyer with Clyde & Co and formerly at Eversheds. Her recent expertise in commercial costs has concentrated on compiling and advising on clients’ and opponent’s budgets and attending case and costs management conferences in the High Court. Harsheda also has experience of contested fees in international arbitrations involving multiple currencies.

This new hire brings the total number of lateral hires to join Practico this year to five. It is a demonstration of the company’s strategic growth and meets the growing demand from law firms, in-house counsel and third party litigation funders for costs consultancy in complex commercial cases post-Jackson.

Andy Ellis, managing director of Practico says: “Harsheda joining is a real boost to Practico. She is very experienced in dealing with complex commercial costs disputes and will increase our capacity to respond to the demand we are experiencing for skilled costs management. This year we have made a number of important senior hires from top law firms which has consolidated our position as the leading commercial costs consultancy.”

Harsheda says: “I am very excited to be joining Practico. I have enjoyed my work in-house at two leading law firms both with a strong pedigree in costs and I am looking forward to applying my experience of costs budgeting in a new setting to advise Practico’s clients and add value to their litigation and arbitration practices.”
