Firm hires investment treaty arbitration specialist
Withers has hired Hussein Haeri as a partner in its London office. Hussein is an arbitration lawyer specialising in international investment disputes and arbitration and public international law. He previously worked in Paris with Eversheds and in London and New York with Latham & Watkins.
"Hussein has a lot of experience of advising high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients and state organisations on investment treaty protection and arbitration matters and his experience will add important skills to our growing international arbitration team," says Withers' global head of litigation, Peter Wood.
Hussein is qualified to practice in England and Wales and has experience of having worked around the world. He has particular skills in investment treaty disputes in the energy and infrastructure sectors, advising on arbitrations under ICSID, UNCITRAL and LCIA rules.
"I see a huge range of opportunities for me to bring my experience to bear in assisting Withers' international clients. The firm's international reach offers a great platform for me to develop my practice in international arbitration and international law and I look forward to working with my new colleagues around the world," says Hussein.
