The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) has appointed the first chair of its new regulatory body, to be known as ILEX Professional Standards Limited. Alan Kershaw, a specialist in professional regulation, was chief executive of the Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners between 1999 and 2007.
