Irwin Mitchell—Alex Delin

Firm boosts property team with new construction disputes partner appointment

National law firm Irwin Mitchell is expanding its construction and engineering team with the recruitment of a new construction disputes partner, Alex Delin, who will be based in the firm’s London office.

Alex joins the firm from Fieldfisher LLP, where two years ago he was promoted to construction disputes senior associate, leading adjudications and project advice for clients on particularly high-profile developments primarily in London.

Alex acts for many stakeholders in construction and engineering projects, including developers, funders, contractors, subcontractors and professionals such as architects. He has most recently been acting on projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, production, research and development facilities, warehouses, schools, hotels, hospitals, care homes and infrastructure works.

Mark Clinton, head of the construction and engineering practice at Irwin Mitchell, said, ‘Alex’s arrival will be a real boost to our national construction practice, particularly in the Southern region. We had been looking to grow the contentious side of our construction practice and Alex’s experience will particularly help in building safety matters where we are building a strong practice and reputation in large-scale litigation and arbitration and in adjudication.’
