Partner joins Court of Protection team in Manchester

Irwin Mitchell has added experienced Court of Protection partner Georgina Garner to its Manchester team.

Georgina was previously a partner and head of the Court of Protection department at Slater Heelis and has more than ten years of experience managing mentally incapacitated individuals’ property and financial affairs.

She brings to Irwin Mitchell a strong reputation in the market and regularly receives direct instructions from multiple local authorities and other law firms acting on behalf of people without capacity or those who need additional assistance managing their financial affairs.

She also acts as a professional deputy or attorney for property and financial affairs with various clients, from young children to those in later life. She has experience with managing multi-million-pound settlements from personal injury claims and has been a member of Association of Lifetime Lawyers, CoPPA and the Professional Deputies Forum.
