Partner appointment adds private equity and venture capital expertise

Irwin Mitchell has recruited private equity and venture capital specialist, Geraint Lloyd, as it steps up its investment in expanding its corporate team.

Geraint advises on venture capital fundings, management buy-outs and buy-ins across a range of sectors including renewables, technology, education, and real estate.

Geraint is the latest senior level addition to Irwin Mitchell’s corporate and financial services team. Recently the firm appointed transactional tax partners, Kate Featherstone and Jennie Newton. Banking partner, Jeremy Ladyman, has also joined the firm in the last few months, moving from Squire Patton Boggs where he was a lead adviser on treasury, derivatives, and financial services matters.

Commenting on the latest arrival into his team, Simon Owen (pictured), director of legal services (corporate & finance), said: 'We’re stepping up our investment in our Corporate practice and Geraint is an important and valuable addition to our team. He has a wealth of experience in private equity and venture capital and a strong track record for delivering successful outcomes for clients.'

Geraint added: 'This is an exciting opportunity to help grow Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate team. The business has a clear strategy for growth and I’m very excited to be part of the journey.'
