Firm expands data protection practice
Wedlake Bell LLP has enhanced its data protection and data privacy proposition with the addition of data protection and cyber security expert, James Castro-Edwards. James joins the firm as a partner from the PwC Legal cyber security team.
James specialises in data protection, data privacy and cyber security. At PwC Legal James managed global data protection compliance projects for multinational clients and advised national clients on a variety of data protection issues. His experience includes the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley driven whistle-blower hotlines and advice on the outsourcing of HR and CRM systems, including PeopleSoft, Workday and Salesforce.com. James has also led the way in training international companies in data protection compliance including developing a European government accredited training programme for specialist data protection officers.
Before joining PwC Legal, James practised at Speechly Bircham and has also worked as commercial counsel for Mizuho International plc, a Japanese investment bank where James was responsible for data protection compliance.
