Jane Marshall—Weightmans LLP

Firm employs pensions partner

Weightmans LLP has recruited partner Jane Marshall, expanding the employment, pensions and immigration team at the firm’s Manchester office.

With over 14 years’ experience, Jane is a pensions specialist and experienced employment lawyer who has particular expertise in public sector pension matters, and advises clients in local and central government, education and health sectors. Jane joins from Eversheds.

Stuart Jones, head of the employment, pensions and immigration team at Weightmans says: “I am delighted to welcome Jane to Weightmans. We are seeing an increasing demand for pension law expertise from a range of public and private sector clients. Having Jane on board expands our capability to provide the specialist advice needed by our clients, and to develop opportunities for growth.”

Jane adds: “I am excited to join Weightmans, an impressive law firm with an extensive client base, particularly public sector. I look forward to working with pensions partner Mark Poulston, with our existing suite of clients, and also growing the public and education sector pensions specialism. Weightmans is already making a tremendous impact not only in the North West, but nationally, and I very much look forward to being part of the team, meeting the challenges that our clients face.”
