Partner & counsel join firm to coordinate European employment practice
Jules Quinn has joined King & Spalding as partner to lead the employment law team in its London office as the firm continues to expand its English law offering. Quinn was previously a partner at Jones Day, where she was head of the labour and employment group in London. Kim Roberts, also formerly of Jones Day, has joined King & Spalding as counsel.
Jules and Kim will co-ordinate the European employment practice to meet the needs of the firm’s global client base.
Jules represents global corporations and financial institutions on labour issues, with particular expertise in international project management and advising international clients with global operations. She has acted for companies on matters including acquisitions, mergers, employee transfers and the restructuring of European workforces.
Kim is an experienced employment law practitioner and advises across the full range of employment matters both contentious and non-contentious, including counselling, High-Court and Tribunal matters, executive recruitment and termination, board disputes, competition and restraint of trade matters, employment issues on transactions, data protection issues, downsizing and collective consultation.
“Clients of all our practice groups have an important need for top-tier advice on employment law as well as data privacy issues, especially as clients are having to adopt an increasingly global approach to managing these matters,” said Michael Johnston, head of the firm’s employment practice. “Jules and Kim, who both have great expertise and international experience, provide a valuable addition to our offering.”
