Firm appoints partner to company commercial team

Carter Lemon Camerons has announced that Kate Boguslawska has joined the firm’s company commercial team as a partner after heading up the employment department at a commercial City firm.

Educated in Poland before studying at the Greenwich University while she worked as a translator, Kate studied law at the London Metropolitan University and qualified as a solicitor in the UK.

Kate specialises in employment and other commercial advice for businesses particularly Polish businesses that are trading in the UK—and advises businesses and individuals on contentious and non-contentious employment and commercial matters. This means that she acts for employers and employees and drafts and advises on contracts, procedures, handbooks and settlement agreements. Kate provides full-service commercial advice to her business clients and assists with best practice to avert litigation and ensure compliance with changes in the law.

Among other cases, Kate’s recent work has seen her advise a Polish company on contract matters and negotiate on its behalf with a major English corporation. She has also advised a major Polish market player on complicated transactional issues and litigation against English companies, as well as advising the Polish Embassy in commercial and employment matters.
