Kingsley Napley—new partner hires

Kingsley Napley announces new partner hires into Real Estate & Construction and Medical Negligence & Personal Injury
Law firm Kingsley Napley LLP is pleased to announce that Peter Metcalfe and Grant Incles have joined the firm as partners in the Real Estate & Construction and Medical Negligence & Personal Injury teams respectively.

These latest additions complement Kingsley Napley’s existing strengths and deepen our leading position in key markets. The partnership now numbers 66 partners.

Peter Metcalfe joined the Real Estate & Construction team as a Partner on 15 March 2021 from the international commercial real estate developer HB Reavis. He specialises in construction and engineering and has extensive experience advising both developer and contractor clients on all aspects of their projects including procurement, drafting and negotiation of contracts, contract administration and the avoidance, mitigation and resolution of disputes.

Grant Incles joined the Medical Negligence & Personal Injury team as a Partner on the 1 April 2021. Grant specialises in catastrophic personal injury work and was previously at Leigh Day. He is perhaps best known for having taken the leading case of Swift v Carpenter to the Court of Appeal in 2020. Grant also specialises in cycling related injuries and was the lead Partner in Leigh Day’s Cycle Injury Unit.

Bethan Owen, Head of Real Estate & Construction, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Peter to the partnership and our expanding Real Estate & Construction team. He brings to our firm and clients a rare blend of skills, experience and industry knowledge earned by working in private practice and in-house, for both real estate developers and building contractors, across a broad range of sectors in the UK, and on contentious and non-contentious construction matters.”

Terrence Donovan, Head of Medical Negligence & Personal Injury, said: “We are delighted that such an eminent and respected lawyer has joined us as a Partner, and we look forward to him helping to shape and grow our dynamic and innovative team.”
