Promotion & new appointment at firm
Specialist IP and intangible assets firm Virtuoso Legal has promoted its longest serving solicitor, Kirsten Toft, to vice principal and appointed media and music lawyer Catherine Bell as a senior solicitor.
A former in-house lawyer at Chrysalis Music and Virgin Records, Catherine is already helping some of the firm's music clients, including up and coming band Bloxed Bleats, Jay Aston (formerly of Bucks Fizz), and the estate of Peter Sellers.
In her new role, Kirsten will retain her existing client portfolio, and will take additional responsibility for managing key clients in the education sector and training the firm's existing staff. Kirsten is also heavily involved in building new business across the UK.
Elizabeth Ward, principal at Virtuoso Legal, comments: “Kirsten is an exceptional lawyer, and has once more been recognised this year as an outstanding practitioner in her field. Kirsten works extremely hard and is very popular amongst Virtuoso's clients. Her promotion is very well deserved.”
She adds: “Catherine brings a wealth of experience to the team, and her appointment complements the skills and expertise we are already able to offer to clients of the firm.
“At Virtuoso Legal, we don’t simply offer first rate legal advice, we also act as an invaluable business consultancy. Our role is to educate and encourage our clients on the opportunities and potential for them to make their ideas and technology work in an optimum way. Kirsten and Catherine both have excellent track records in their fields and a strong commercial flair. I am confident they will be able to support our clients effectively and help grow our business, while staying true to Virtuoso’s value of integrity.”
