Law bonanza

In brief

Eight new laws were introduced by the UK government every day in 2007, according to research—a rise of 14% on the previous year. The Sweet & Maxwell study shows that 3,071 new laws were introduced last year, compared to 2,702 in 2006. That works out at eight new laws every day versus seven in 2006.
