R v R [2008] EWCA Crim 678, [2008] All ER (D) 61 (Apr)

Section 27 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 (video recorded evidence in chief) is part of the substantive law relating to the admissibility of evidence applicable in the Crown Court, and it has the force of law in all courts in England and Wales.
