Law Society president to head LawCare

Law Society president Mark Evans is taking over the reins at charity LawCare, which helps legal professionals with mental health and wellbeing

He will take over from current CEO Elizabeth Rimmer, who is due to leave at the end of this month after helming the charity for almost 12 years.

Trish McLellan, LawCare’s director of engagement, is stepping up as interim CEO until Evans joins in November.

Emma Williams, chair of the board of trustees, said: ‘LawCare’s work will continue as usual over the coming months. We’re looking forward to welcoming Mark in November, but until then we’re in very safe hands with Trish and the team.’
