City of London firm hires in-house barrister
Lawrence Jacobson has recently joined Zaiwalla & Co Solicitors. Lawrence has joined the firm as in-house barrister and brings with him over 25 years of experience as a barrister in private practice in London, advising and representing clients ranging from local authority level to individuals, across a broad range of commercial disputes including: contract claims, shareholder disputes, directors’ duties and liabilities to name only a few of his areas of work. Lawrence is also an experienced mediation advocate, which will be a field where he will be able to substantially contribute to the company.
Lawrence was admitted as an advocate of the Supreme Court of South Africa and was subsequently called as a barrister to the Bar of England and Wales. He is currently a committee member of the Africa Group of the Commercial Bar Association and the British South African Law Association. His practice within the firm will focus on litigation and arbitration.
