Legal aid at 70

Legal Action Group (LAG) is holding a conference on 5 April at Herbert Smith Freehills’ London offices to mark the contribution that civil legal aid has made to the development of the law in its 70 years. Lady Hale, president of the Supreme Court, will give the keynote address. Topics for discussion include digital innovation, and the LASPO review and what happens next. Six masterclasses on a range of legal areas will be held. Delegates will also get a chance to vote on the greatest legal aid case of all time—bound to be a heated debate.
