New senior associate for Aberdeen firm
Lesley Currie, who has more than 25 years’ experience as a commercial property solicitor, has joined Aberdeen’s Ledingham Chalmers LLP as a senior associate.
Lesley has worked across all aspects of commercial property law with particular emphasis on site assembly and disposal for developers and house builders, leasing work for both landlord and tenant as well as investment sale and purchase. A native Aberdonian, Ms Currie studied law at the University of Aberdeen and qualified in 1986 after completing her traineeship with Stronachs. She originally joined Ledingham Chalmers in the early 1990s where she spent five years before moving to Paull & Williamson, which became Burness Paull last year.
Lesley says: “I was attracted by the exciting and diverse portfolio of work at Ledingham Chalmers not only in commercial property but across the company as a full-service firm. I was also aware of the flexibility they can offer employees which was something I was keen to explore.”
Jennifer Young, chairman and partner of Ledingham Chalmers, says: “The wealth of experience Lesley has developed over the last 28 years has brought further strength and depth to the commercial property team. She has quickly become an invaluable member of her department and the firm.”
