Firm strengthens its social housing team
Clarke Willmott LLP has expanded its social housing management team with the appointment of Lindsay Felstead and Matthew Wilson, who join the Manchester office.
Lindsay joins as a partner and Matthew as an associate and will be focusing on further strengthening the firm’s growing presence in the social housing sector in the north west.
Lindsay and Matthew specialise in social housing litigation and have particular expertise in securing injunction and possession orders brought against anti-social tenants on behalf of their social landlord clients. They are also both experienced in advising on public sector Equality Act duties and all tenancy related matters including disrepair and the drafting of tenancy agreements and policies and procedures that underpin those agreements. Both are well known for delivering training to social landlords on all aspects of housing management in particular hoarding and mental health and on how to successfully tackle anti-social behaviour. Lindsay and Matthew both join from Whiteheads Solicitors.
Anne Hayward, head of social housing at Clarke Willmott LLP, says: “We are delighted to welcome Lindsay and Matthew to the team. They are both well known for their straightforward, practical approach to cases and will bring considerable experience to our fast growing national social housing management offering.”
Jonathan Hulley, head of the social housing management team says: “I very much look forward to working with Lindsay and Matthew. As with John Cox, who joined us last spring, I have no doubt that they will prove to be very popular with our clients, particularly those in the North West, playing a key role in the future success of our expanding team.”
