LNB news: Common Platform initiative launched in more crown courts

HM Courts and Tribunals Service has reported that the new criminal case management system, called Common Platform, is now being used at a further five crown courts, namely Chester, Warrington, Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Stafford and Cannock.

Lexis®Library update: In the initial stages it will be used for a small number of cases and will build gradually over time. Common Platform is the new digital system designed to transform the way in which the criminal justice system uses, manages, and shares case information, allowing exposure to all those involved, including the police, the judiciary, court staff, defence and prosecution. The rollout will continue throughout 2021, with more courts going live nationally in April.
