LNB NEWS: Law Society publishes information page on CBA strike

The Law Society of England and Wales has published an information page on the Criminal Bar Association (CBA) strike that began on 5 September 2022.

Lexis®Library update: The information page discusses cases affected by the strike, fee increases for September 2022 and solicitors who are voting by leaving the profession. The Law Society has said the CBA voted to end its strike and accepted a deal from the government of an extra £30m, on top of the 15% increase in criminal legal aid fees recommended by the Independent Review of Criminal Legal Aid, on 10 October 2022.

The information page can be accessed here.
