Maguire Family Law announces partner promotion and new hires amid a record year for enquiries

Manchester and Cheshire-based Maguire Family Law has announced two promotions and a duo of solicitor appointments as the specialist family law firm continues to expand its Manchester city centre team.

Jennifer Hudec has been promoted to partner, having joined the firm as a senior associate in 2025. A highly experienced family lawyer, Jennifer specialises in high-net-worth divorce and complex financial remedy proceedings, with extensive experience advising on private children matters and the wider aspects of family law. Her promotion recognises her expertise, commitment to clients and contribution to the firm's continued growth.

The firm has also welcomed Ciara Florey as an associate solicitor. Having specialised exclusively in family law throughout her legal career, Ciara brings experience in high-value financial remedy cases and private children disputes and will advise clients across a broad range of family law matters.

Alice Ferguson joins as a solicitor following the completion of her training contract at a leading full-service law firm. Alice has a strong background in children law, bringing valuable experience in complex and sensitive matters involving children and families.

In a further internal promotion, Ruth Wynn has progressed to associate solicitor, recognising her professional development, dedication to clients and contribution to the team.

James Maguire, managing director of Maguire Family Law, said:

"We have experienced a record year for enquiries, reflecting the continued demand for specialist advice on complex divorce, financial and children matters.

"Jennifer's promotion to partner reflects both her contribution to the firm and our commitment to developing talented lawyers into leadership roles. She is an accomplished family lawyer whose experience, judgement and dedication to delivering exceptional client service make her a valuable addition to our partnership.

"We are equally delighted to recognise Ruth's progression to associate solicitor and to welcome Ciara and Alice to the team. Their appointments strengthen our ability to provide clients with the specialist expertise, practical advice and personal support they need during what can be some of the most challenging times in their lives.

"As we approach the third anniversary of opening our Manchester city centre office, we are proud of the reputation we have established and the strength of our growing team. Continuing to attract, develop and retain talented family lawyers remains central to our ambitions for the future."

Established in 2010, Maguire Family Law has continued to expand its presence across Manchester and Cheshire, with offices in Manchester city centre, Altrincham, Knutsford and Wilmslow.

Earlier this year, the firm appointed two additional solicitors to its Wilmslow office, with further expansion of its Knutsford team planned later this year.

Maguire Family Law advises clients on a wide range of family law matters, with particular expertise in high-net-worth and international divorce, complex financial settlements, private children matters, nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and mediation.
