The Law Commission has proposed reforms to the laws governing relationships between neighbouring plots of land.
Its report, Making Land Work: Easements, Covenants and Profits à Prendre’ includes suggestions to simplify the law relating to the acquisition of easements by prescription and implication and to replace restrictive covenants with “land obligations”.
