Managers unsupported

Research points to a lack of strategic support for managing partners and leadership figures at law firms, despite a background of intense competition, according to Smith & Williamson’s annual professional services survey. More than a quarter said their firm’s strategic plan was of limited use in driving the business, 64% had little or no help in preparing for their role, three-quarters do not have a mentor or coach, and 64% of management teams have little or no support from non-executive directors.
