Martin Mankabady—Dentons

Firm recruits leading London corporate insurance partner

Dentons is pleased to announce that leading corporate insurance partner Martin Mankabady has joined the firm in London. His arrival strengthens the UK corporate practice; and he will help to develop a global insurance team, working with US and Canadian colleagues in order to build on their strong market position.

Martin arrives from Clyde & Co where he was also a partner. He advises multinational clients in the insurance and financial services sectors on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, regulatory and other commercial matters.

Jeremy Cohen, Dentons' UKMEA chief executive officer, comments: "Our UK corporate practice has particular strengths in the energy, TMT, real estate and financial institutions sectors, and diversifying into new areas is part of our growth strategy. As London is one of the world's most important insurance centres Martin's arrival represents an opportunity to develop a full-service global insurance practice by building on our market-leading position in both the US and Canada. I am very pleased to welcome him to the firm."

Martin Mankabady adds: "Dentons is a firm which has a longstanding commitment to the insurance sector and is also undergoing a period of rapid global expansion. I look forward to working with colleagues in both London and the US in order to help build a global insurance practice."
