Firm expands Birmingham corporate team with partner hire

Mathew Harvey has joined Weightmans LLP as partner in the firm’s corporate team in Birmingham.

Mathew joins from Shakespeare Martineau and brings over 23 years legal experience. He specialises in owner-managed businesses, family businesses, entrepreneurs and their respective funders. He regularly advises on corporate acquisitions and disposals, MBOs, MBIs, private equity investments and funding structures and has significant experience of transactions with a cross-border element. 

Paul Raftery, Weightmans’ head of corporate comments: “We are delighted to have Mat on board as a key figure in the corporate team. We are dedicated to meeting demand in Birmingham and indeed, across the Midlands, and Mat will help us to significantly strengthen our corporate finance offering.”
