Matthew Rowbotham—Lewis Silkin

Senior associate in the firm’s corporate team joins partnership

City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP today announced that Matthew Rowbotham, a senior associate in the corporate team, has been promoted to the firm’s partnership. His addition brings the total number of partners at the firm to 61.

An expert in corporate and business tax issues, Matthew advises clients across a number of sectors, including marketing and communications, technology, and professional services. He has particular expertise in transaction structuring and advises on the full range of corporate transactions—such as acquisitions, management buy-outs, investments, reorganisations and joint ventures—for start-ups, owner-managed businesses, large funds and listed multinational groups.

In addition, the firm has also appointed five team members to the role of managing zssociate. The role of managing zssociate was established in 2014 to harness skills in client management, people management or development of key specialisms and recognises additional contribution made to the firm by these individuals.

Managing partner, Ian Jeffery, says: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the partnership. His expertise and insight are a key component of our offering as we continue to grow and develop our capabilities to meet the needs of clients in our core sectors such as marketing and communications, technology and professional services and more widely. In addition, we extend warmest congratulations to our five new managing associates, each of whom has demonstrated an exceptional commitment and contribution to the firm, its clients and their fellow team members.”
