McCarthy Denning expands its corporate team with a new partner hire

City law firm McCarthy Denning has appointed Nigel Stacey as a partner in its corporate team. Formerly a partner at both Ashurst and Gibson Dunn, Nigel has more than 25 years' experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Nigel’s practice covers a wide range of M&A transactions, including stock exchange matters and equity capital markets, as well as public takeovers, where Nigel has extensive experience in competitive and hostile situations. He was co-chair of cross border M&A and co-chair of public M&A at one of his pervious firm, and he is one of the leading City lawyers for cross-border M&A transactions and UK takeovers.

From advising on multi-billion-pound deals through to a wide range of initial public offerings, Nigel has developed a wide scope of experience within the corporate and M&A sectors. Nigel is highly valued for providing commercial, pragmatic and sound business advice.

Led by Richard Beresford, McCarthy Denning’s corporate team includes partners with a wealth of international practices and credentials. Nigel will play a significant role in developing the team’s M&A offering.
