Firm promotes five to legal director as part of 13-strong internal uplift

Midlands law firm mfg Solicitors has promoted 13 lawyers across its regional offices, including five stepping into legal director roles. Among them are private client specialist Rachel Summers, tax and succession planning expert Scott Vanes, agricultural solicitor Hannah Taylor, commercial property lawyer Lynsey Cater, and personal injury practitioner David Lydon.

Two lawyers—Laura Moore in commercial property and Stephanie Rushfirth from property litigation—have been named senior associates. In addition, six solicitors have advanced to associate level, spanning departments from corporate and residential conveyancing to private client and family law.

Chairman Iain Morrison praised the milestone, calling it ‘a special moment’ and noted the firm’s strong performance so far in 2025. He added: ‘I am delighted to see thirteen talented lawyers promoted into legal director, senior associate and associate positions.’

Morrison said the firm’s growing caseload reflects ‘an increasing number of businesses and individuals coming to us for advice’ and praised the newly promoted lawyers as ‘first-class, dedicated people’. The firm continues to strengthen its presence across Worcestershire, Shropshire and Birmingham’s Colmore Business District.
