Birmingham partner returns to private client practice

mfg Solicitors has appointed Tracy Ashby as a partner in its private client department. Based in the firm's Birmingham office, Ashby (pictured, left) returns to mfg after almost a decade away, having previously worked at the firm between 2006 and 2017 before holding senior private client roles at a number of regional firms, most recently FBC Manby Bowdler.

A specialist in inheritance tax and estate administration, Ashby will work closely with Valerie Robinson (pictured, right), partner and head of private client, advising clients on a range of complex private matters. The firm's private client team operates across its offices in Birmingham, Worcestershire, Shropshire and the Black Country.

Robinson described Ashby as a 'sought-after solicitor' who has earned the trust of clients over many years. She said it was 'a huge plus to welcome her back to the firm' and added that Ashby was already making 'a significant impact' while strengthening the firm's growing Birmingham office.

Ashby said she was 'delighted to have the opportunity to return to mfg Solicitors' and praised a firm that has 'grown considerably over the past nine years' while maintaining its focus on clients. She added that the move felt like 'the right fit at the right time' and that she was excited to be part of the firm's continued growth.
