Michael Mousdale—DWF

DWF appoints partner specialising in local government law

DWF has appointed a local government law, commercial contracts and public procurement specialist, Michael Mousdale, who joins the firm as a partner.

Michael has advised on a number of landmark deals in the public sector, including the London Borough of Lambeth’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI)—the first of its kind; and Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority’s £4.5bn waste PFI project—the largest project of its type in Europe.

Michael advises on all aspects of local government law, including governance and transactional matters. As a procurement specialist, he also advises on aspects including compliance, development of procurement strategies and on dialogue issues.

Jonathan Branton, head of the central & local government sector at DWF, comments: “This is a great acquisition for DWF. Michael is a hugely experienced and respected operator in local government, commercial and procurement law, especially with many high profile and landmark matters to his name. His experience and expertise complements and adds a great deal to the national team at DWF.”
