Appleby has appointed Mike Ellis as deputy general counsel to the group

He will take on the full general counsel role following a short transition period. 

Before joining Appleby, Mike spent five years as head of legal and compliance for Europe and company secretary for GlobeOp Financial Services Limited.

Michael Burns, managing partner of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) office says: “Mike has the combination of corporate and transactional experience and I look forward to working closely with him to deliver our global strategy.”
