Mishcon de Reya—Alexander Slade

International arbitration specialist joins law firm as partner

Mishcon de Reya has recently announced that Alexander Slade has joined its International Arbitration team as a Partner.

Alex specialises in commercial and investment treaty arbitration and cross-border litigation as well as EU sanctions and compliance. He has significant experience representing a range of clients in complex, high-value litigation and arbitration under all major arbitral rules. His sector focus includes energy (oil & gas and renewables), private equity and M&A disputes, infrastructure, telecoms and technology.  

A solicitor advocate, Alex also has experience in appearing as advocate before investment treaty and commercial arbitration tribunals, as well as in the English courts and in State-to-State arbitration. 

Alex joins Mishcon de Reya from US firm Vinson & Elkin where he had been co-lead of the firm's London arbitration practice. A dynamic, rising star in International Arbitration sphere, he is ranked in Legal 500, where he is described as a 'high-level professional', and is noted as a future leader in arbitration by Who’s Who Legal. 

Alex is a member of the ICDR Young & International, ICC Young Arbitrator's Forum and YIAG, among others. He teaches the international arbitration course at Queen Mary University/Mitchell Hamline School of Law residential Summer School, and is the Committee Secretary for the 2022 International Arbitration Charity Ball.
