The lord chief justice has announced the appointment of Mr Justice Langstaff as the president of the Employment Appeal Tribunal, with effect from 1 January 2012.

The appointment followed consultation with the lord chancellor and the agreement of the lord president. Mr Justice Langstaff succeeds Mr Justice Underhill whose term of office comes to an end on 31 December 2011.
