New Bar fees

How much should the Bar Standards Board (BSB) charge for authorising entities—organisations providing advocacy, litigation or expert legal advice that are owned and managed by barristers but employ non-barristers? £600? £4,250? The BSB, which hopes to become a regulator of entities in January, has launched an open consultation paper on the matter, available on the BSB website. Barristers are invited to get in touch via entityregulation@barstandardsboard.org.uk by 10 October 2014.
