Firm appoints commercial partner
Freeths has continued its growth in Birmingham with the appointment of Nigel Gardner as partner.
Nigel joins Freeths from DWF where he headed up the commercial team in Birmingham. In his new role he will focus on helping grow Freeths’ commercial offering in the city and will work across the commercial and intellectual property teams.
Having practiced law in Birmingham for more than 15 years, Nigel has extensive expertise in commercial contracts, with a particular focus on hospitality, outsourcing and supply chain agreements. He also regularly advises on the exploitation and protection of intellectual property and music contracts.
In his time at DWF, Nigel worked on a number of major projects, including advising a leading parcel delivery company on an £80m logistics contract and acting for a prominent provider of social media services on contracts with brands including ITV, Disney and EE.
Richard Beverley, managing partner at Freeths in Birmingham, says: “It’s great to have Nigel on board. He is a hugely experienced solicitor and a very well respected figure in the West Midlands market.
“His expertise will complement and add to the team we already have in place in Birmingham and I’m confident that he will hit the ground running.”
Nigel says: “Freeths is a firm which is on the up and I’m really looking forward to being part of it. I’m confident my experience working in logistics and hospitality will add to the already comprehensive offer the team here can make to clients."
