ONS figures show £4bn high for UK legal industry

The UK legal industry turnover in March 2021 rose 30% to a record high of £4.06bn, according to the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) data.

March revenues also rose significantly, almost 20% higher than in March 2020 and outperforming December 2020, the previous highest billing month.

Julie Norris, partner at Kingsley Napley, said: ‘This is tremendous news for the legal industry across the UK. After the instability of the past year, the sector has showed resilience and is dashing to keep up with an explosion in demand.’
