Four promotions in family department
Payne Hicks Beach has announced four promotions in its family team. Matthew Booth and Ian Connell have been promoted from associates to partners, and Vicky de’Sanna and Andrew Tose have been made associates.
Matthew joined Payne Hicks Beach on qualification in 2005. His practice encompasses a range of family matters arising from the break-down of marriage or cohabitation, and private children matters.
Ian has extensive experience in cases with international elements. Ian previously practised as a specialist family lawyer in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. He regularly advises in cases with complex business issues and pre-nuptial agreements.
Andrew trained at Payne Hicks Beach and joined the family department on qualification in 2007. Andrew’s practice focuses on family law relating to the breakdown of marriage or cohabitation.
Vicky joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2002 and is a dual qualified Italian lawyer. Vicky has particular expertise in international cases and her practice ranges from divorce, to pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation.
The promotions come soon after the arrival of partner Rebecca Cockcroft and associate Catherine Costley, who joined the family department from Penningtons Manches LLP.
Peter Black, managing partner, comments: “These promotions are a reflection of the ongoing success of Payne Hicks Beach’s renowned family department, which continues to go from strength to strength. Ian, Matthew, Vicky and Andrew are excellent lawyers and great assets to the firm. Their promotions are richly deserved and I wish them all the best in their new roles.”
