Payne Hicks Beach—Lucas Moore

Commercial disputes partner succeeds Robert Brodrick as chair of management board

Payne Hicks Beach has appointed Lucas Moore as chair of its management board, effective from 1 June 2026. Moore, a partner in the commercial disputes team and a member of the management board since 2024, succeeds Robert Brodrick, who is stepping down after seven years in the role and will continue as a partner in the private client team.

The leadership transition forms part of a wider governance reshuffle at the firm. Private client partner Freddie Bjorn has joined the management board, while Kathryn Bradbury has renewed her tenure. Bradbury and Bjorn will both hold the title of managing partner as part of the changes.

Brodrick is credited with modernising the firm’s governance and overseeing a period of record financial growth during his tenure as chair. Moore takes on the role with a focus on the firm’s strategic direction and the expansion of relationships with international and corporate clients.

The firm said the changes combine leadership continuity with fresh perspectives as it pursues its long-term growth ambitions. Bjorn’s appointment to the management board reflects Payne Hicks Beach’s commitment to innovation and strategic development, while Bradbury’s continued role provides stability and continuity within the leadership team.
