New dean for law school
Professor Janine Griffiths-Baker has been appointed as dean of Nottingham Law School at Nottingham Trent University.
Griffiths-Baker, who will join the University in January, is currently dean of the faculty of business and society and professor of law at the University of South Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Cardiff University and a Master of Laws (LLM), a PhD in Legal Ethics and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Bristol.
Griffiths-Baker replaces Professor Andrea Nollent who has moved to the University of Law.
Griffiths-Baker says: “I am thrilled to be joining Nottingham Law School. It has an outstanding and long-established international reputation for excellence in all aspects of legal education. It is a privilege to have been appointed as dean and I am particularly looking forward to working with such dedicated and talented colleagues.”
Nottingham Trent University vice-chancellor, Professor Edward Peck, says: “This appointment is a clear indication of the ever increasing reputation of Nottingham Trent University as an important and innovative university where leading academics wish to pursue their careers.”
