Two London lawyers among firm's global partnership promotions

Global litigation firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP has elected 11 lawyers to the firm’s partnership. Among the firm's new partners are Hafsa Zayyan and Manthi Wickramasooriya, both based in the London office.

Hafsa Zayyan (pictured) focuses on international arbitration and cross-border litigation. After graduating with a first-class degree in Law from Cambridge, she went on to obtain a master’s degree from Oxford specialising in International Dispute Resolution. Hafsa regularly advises on complex commercial disputes, often with a civil fraud or asset-tracing angle, and has represented high-net worth individuals as well as multinational corporations across a range of sectors including natural resources, energy and telecommunications.  She has particular experience of disputes arising out of Africa, the CIS and the Middle East.  She also has significant experience of investment treaty disputes and public international law matters.

Manthi Wickramasooriya specialises in international arbitration and commercial litigation, with over a decade of experience managing complex cross-border disputes. He has extensive experience litigating at all levels of the English courts, and has represented clients in high stakes commercial arbitrations under all major arbitral rules and most of the major arbitral seats. Manthi has experience across a range of industry sectors and regions, but has particular expertise in M&A-related disputes and disputes arising from cross-border investments. Having spent two years practising in Hong Kong, Manthi regularly advises APAC-based clients on UK disputes and London-seated arbitrations.
