Pensions expert joins firm
DAC Beachcroft has appointed pensions specialist Rebecca Smith as a partner in its professional liability team.
Rebecca, who is based at the firm's Bristol office, is a highly experienced insurance litigator, with a strong professional liability and financial services background. She has a leading reputation in handling claims involving pensions-related issues, and regularly acts for pension trustees and administrators, benefit consultants and actuaries.
Rebecca joins from RPC where she was legal director for three years, having previously been a partner with CMS Cameron McKenna LLP.
Marcus Campbell, head of DAC Beachcroft's professional liability practice in Bristol, says: "We're delighted to welcome Rebecca to the team.
"While contentious pensions-related work is the driver for Rebecca joining us, her wider experience and reputation in acting for accountants, offshore trusts and other financial institutions and advisors dovetails perfectly with our existing portfolio of professional liability work and clients.
"Rebecca will also work with pensions partner Neil Bhan on the non-contentious side, to give our clients a full service pensions offering," he adds.
