Richard Daggett—Ogier

New partner for Jersey office

Ogier has announced the promotion of Richard Daggett to partner.

His appointment brings Ogier's global partnership to 52.

Richard is well known both in Jersey and in the London market as a specialist corporate finance lawyer focusing on complex real estate investment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity structures and IPOs. A former Ogier bursary student, he joined the team in 2004 as part of the firm's first in-take of English trainees and has worked on some of the largest and most noteworthy real estate transactions over the past decade, including intu Properties Plc's £867 million acquisition of multiple Westfield shopping centres, Carlyle's £610 million acquisition of the distressed White Tower portfolio, Hammerson's £307 million purchase of a further stake in the Bullring Shopping Centre and KKR's first ever European property acquisition.

Niamh Lalor, head of Ogier’s private equity practice in Jersey, says: “Richard is a talented lawyer who is both technically strong and has excellent client relationship skills. Having a lawyer of Richard’s calibre and initiative join Ogier's partnership will further enhance our client proposition and contribute to the growth of our business law practice."
