Home conveyancing portal appoints new head of business development

Veyo, the comprehensive home conveyancing portal, has appointed Richard Garland as the new head of business development.

Richard will be working alongside Stefanie van den Haak, the newly appointed commercial director, to help bring the conveyancing portal to market as it launches on 31 March.  Veyo, developed by the Law Society and global IT solutions specialist, Mastek UK will offer an efficient, secure and transparent way of managing the conveyancing process.

Richard Garland has over 20 years’ experience working for both blue chip and start-up companies developing strategic plans to build and grow businesses. His areas of expertise include financial services, property and the legal services market. He has worked extensively with law firms helping them with strategic planning to assist with their future growth. In particular, helping law firms with the implementation of better processes and work flows to provide more efficient working environments, cutting out any unnecessary costs and increasing fee earning and profitability.

Stefanie van den Haak comments: “I am delighted with the appointment of Richard. His extensive knowledge of the legal sector and relevant experience working with law firms to help improve their processes and efficiencies made him the obvious choice for this role. His strategic business development skills, enthusiasm and clear understanding of the market and how solicitors and conveyancers can prosper in the future will be crucial for Veyo, as long-term relationships with solicitors and conveyancers are developed and built upon.”
