New childcare director joins Birmingham branch

Duncan Lewis Solicitors has announced the recent arrival of childcare director Richard Gray to the firm’s Birmingham branch.

Richard joins Duncan Lewis with over 15 years of extensive experience in all aspects of family law, with a particular specialism in public law childcare matters. As an accredited member of the Law Society’s prestigious Childcare Panel since 2011, Richard is recognised as a specialist in all childcare matters.

Richard has dealt with a large number of complex public law childcare matters involving Local Authority care proceedings, including serious non-accidental injury, representing both parents and children’s guardians. Richard also continues to deal with private law Children Act applications including residence, contact, specific issue and prohibited steps order applications. Richard has represented clients at court at all levels including County Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Richard joins Krina Parmar and Shazia Saliheen as directors of the firm’s Birmingham based childcare department. Practising from offices in London and throughout the UK, Duncan Lewis’ childcare team specialises in all aspects of legal aid and privately funded family and private children law matters, with a particular family specialism in representing victims of domestic abuse and assisting in financial matrimonial matters relating to the breakdown of a marriage/relationship.
