Roger Smith is leaving Justice after 11 years as director at the end of October.

He is going to write a book, expand his journalism, and undertake research on legal aid. Roger is also a regular and highly valued NLJ columnist.

Roger says: “For all our defeats, the UK’s politics and constitution are the stronger for the work that Justice has done.”

Justice treasurer and partner in Gibson, Dunn and Crutche, Nicholas Aleksander comments: “Roger departs from Justice with its reputation enhanced for thoughtfulness and balance. We shall miss him.”
